Organizational structure
The organizational structure of the Union Parishad is given below-
Each Union Parishad consists of nine wards.
A chairman is elected in each union council.
One local person from each ward is elected as a member.
One woman member is elected in every three wards.
The chairman and members are elected directly by the residents of the union.
Every five years the Union Parishad is elected and the chairman and members are elected.
